DEPARTMENT OF BENGALI, JOGAMAYADEVI COLLEGE has started its journey before six decades in Honours & General Course. The Department has total 12years of experience to conduct PG study in Bengali, approved by University of Calcutta & DDE, Vidyasagar University. All faculties of this department have Doctoral Degree. Many students of this department secured first class in University examinations, both UG & PG level. The department organized National Level Seminar, Educational tour & various cultural events. The students of this department participated in Inter-college cultural Competition and achieved prizes. Many of them are eminent singer and dancer. The ex-students of this department are attached in many teaching institutions, school, college & University level. The Department of Bengali, both UG & PG section robust the women’s Education which is one of the objectives of this College.
